My studio is located at 401 North Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229 in the West End Assembly of God church. There is plenty of parking, several comfortable waiting areas, and restrooms. It's a safe environment where parents feel comfortable dropping off their kids.
The studio has a drum set for my students and one for me. The students can watch me as they learn, and we can play together.
Students need to bring only music and sticks to their lessons. And if they forget them, I've got those, too!
And parents are always welcome to sit in and observe a lesson. Your chair is waiting.
I have mallet percussion instruments (xylophone, orchestra bells, vibraphone) - required learning for most school students - in my online studio and my in-person studio. I also have hand drums!
I've got two sets of headphones so we can play along with recordings and hear the drums and the recorded music together perfectly. Students can also bring in their iPods or other MP3 players.
